The aim of this initiative is to achieve the following:

  • To make information resources on human and legal rights available within the Centre. The purpose of this being to ensure that its staff and members of the public can access information about the activities of the Centre's community outreach programme as well as initiatives on legal issues affecting women, from other organizations in South Africa and internationally;

  • To produce information materials that are accessible and easy to read for members of the public who have limited education and thus feel intimidated by bigger libraries;

  • To disseminate information resources to all areas where the Centre has outreach offices. This will make information on available services that cater for community development more readily accessible to members of these communities; and

  • To create a system for documenting and storing work produced by the Centre and its outreach centers, which will provide an information base for research purposes. This information to be shared with other researchers.
